How is your paralegal service different from other similar services?

Phillips Legal Support, LLC stands apart because we are a network of highly skilled, independent remote paralegals, each bringing deep experience across their specific areas of law. Our model isn’t new or untested. We launched in 2011 under the name Girl Friday Paralegal Services and, over nearly a decade of successes and hard-won lessons, we refined and perfected a niche approach that truly works. Every paralegal on our team is rigorously vetted, ensuring our clients receive only the most experienced, reliable, and professional support in the industry.

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to hire an additional part-time paralegal for my firm than a freelance paralegal?

Not necessarily. While our hourly rate may be slightly higher than an in-house paralegal’s wage, you pay only for the work actually performed—not for downtime, benefits, payroll taxes, equipment, training, or office overhead. For most solo and small practices, this creates immediate and long-term savings.

The result is simple: freelance paralegal support delivers superior flexibility, lower overhead, and higher efficiency. It’s a proven win-win for small firms.

how is my business and client information kept confidential?

We treat confidentiality as a non-negotiable priority. Phillips Legal Support, LLC employs strict protocols to safeguard your work product and client data, including secure document-handling practices, controlled access systems, and confidentiality agreements with every paralegal on our team.

Conflicts are rare, but if an issue arises, you will be notified immediately so it can be addressed without delay. Your firm’s information is protected at every stage of our engagement

Do you have resumes available for review before I hire your services?

Yes. We can provide redacted resumes for your review.

Can I use your service on a trial basis?

You can use our service for as little or as much support as your business needs. You only pay for the work that you need.

How do I sign up for your service?

We have four easy steps to get you started with us.

  1. We begin with a free telephone consultation, or you may complete our online questionnaire, to help us understand your firm’s needs and workflow.

From there, the process is straightforward:

    2. Proposal: We provide a detailed project proposal outlining scope, timelines, and rates.

    3. Agreement: Once you approve the proposal, we send our Independent Contractor Agreement. This is signed only once and governs all future projects.

    4. Portal Access: After both parties sign, we issue your secure login credentials. Through our encrypted platform, you and your staff can communicate directly with your assigned paralegal(s), upload documents, track progress, and manage projects until completion.

The entire onboarding process is designed to be simple, secure, and efficient.

do I have to sign a contract before using your service?

Yes. Just as your clients are required to sign work agreements with your firm, all of our attorneys must sign work agreements with us.

What is the turnaround time for work requests?

Deadlines are outlined in the proposal for each assignment.

Is your service licensed?

Yes. We have a business license with the city of Atlanta and registered with the Secretary of State. You will find our Tax ID on our invoices. We can also provide a W-9 upon request.

In What areas of law do you provide legal support?

Currently, we have experienced paralegals in personal injury and family law. Before we accept any assignments, we will have at least two remote paralegals available for the project.

What other legal services do you provide?

We have nurse paralegals and law students available for legal support. We also have relationships with legal experts and process servers that we would be happy to refer at no additional charge.
